What it is
What a residential proxy actually is
A residential proxy routes your request through an address that belongs to an ordinary consumer internet connection rather than a datacentre. To the site you are fetching, the traffic looks like it came from a household in the country and city you chose. That is what makes a residential pool the default for browser automation, agents and any target that treats hosting ranges differently from consumer ones.
Targeting lives in the username — nothing else changes:

When residential is the right choice
Consumer addresses, not hosting ranges
Datacentre netblocks are published and widely filtered. A residential exit is an ordinary subscriber address, which is why pages that serve a different response to infrastructure traffic serve the normal one here.
185+ countries, city-level where it matters
Set the country on every request through the username, and a city from a published metro list across twelve countries — Berlin, Munich, London, New York, Chicago, Paris, Milan, Tokyo, Toronto, Sydney, Amsterdam, Warsaw, São Paulo and more.
Rotating or sticky, per request
Without a session handle each new connection can draw a different exit. Add one and the same handle returns the same IP for the minutes you set — long enough for a checkout flow, a paginated search or an agent's whole task.
Billed per gigabyte, not per IP or per request
One balance, any number of workers, no per-port fee and no per-request charge. A retry costs the bandwidth it used and nothing more.
Two tiers on the same gateway
ARC Fast is the everyday pool and carries our steepest volume ladder. ARC Ultra is the larger premium pool for the targets where success rate is the only metric. Swapping between them is one token in the username, not a new integration.

Be aware
What residential is not for
Every pool has a shape. Knowing where this one ends is what stops you buying the wrong thing.
Not the cheapest per gigabyte
If your targets are plain HTML that does not care about the network it is served to, rotating ISP proxies do the same job for less. Start there and move up only what actually fails.
Not a fixed address
Exits are drawn from a pool. A sticky handle holds one for the duration you set, best effort, but an exit can go offline early — build for a changed IP. If you need the same address indefinitely, that is what static ISP proxies are for.
Not a scraping API
We give you the bandwidth and the exits. Fetching, rendering and parsing stay in your code, which also means we are not a parser you have to wait on when a target changes its markup.

The four products, side by side
All of them run on the same account and the same balance logic. Switching is a token in the username, not a migration.
