Dedicated proxy
A dedicated proxy is a proxy IP address assigned to a single customer for the length of the contract, so no other user's traffic leaves through it and the address's history from then on is shaped only by that customer's use.

When a dedicated address is worth it
- A partner system, API or staging environment only accepts traffic from addresses on an allowlist.
- A long-running, logged-out monitor should come from one consistent origin.
- You want the address's IP reputation to depend on your own traffic rather than on strangers'.
The trade-offs
One address is one counter. A site that limits requests per IP — RFC 6585 leaves the method entirely to the server — will hold a small set of dedicated addresses to that limit far sooner than it would a rotating proxy pool. One address is also one location, and a dedicated IP's history before it was assigned to you is not something any customer can see.
Dedicated proxies on ARC
ARC's dedicated product is static ISP proxies: addresses registered to consumer ISPs, hosted in datacentres, reserved for your account and priced per IP per month with unmetered traffic. It is the one subscription ARC sells. Stock is held per region, so check availability in the dashboard before planning around a market. The rotating pools on ISP and residential plans are shared by design and billed per GB.

Is a dedicated proxy the same as a static proxy?
Often, but not necessarily. Static describes an address that does not change; dedicated describes one that is not shared. Some services sell static addresses that several customers use at once, so check both properties.
Is a dedicated IP guaranteed to be clean?
No provider can vouch for everything an address did before it was assigned. What a dedicated IP gives you is control from then on: its reputation follows your own traffic. Test it against the sites you need before relying on it.
Can I choose the country of a dedicated proxy on ARC?
Static ISP inventory is held per region, not across all 185+ countries of the rotating pools. The dashboard shows what is in stock; plan around what is available rather than a specific country.
Is traffic on a dedicated proxy metered?
On ARC's static ISP proxies, no: you pay per IP per month and traffic is unmetered. That is the opposite of the rotating pools, which are billed per gigabyte with no monthly fee.
